Types of Counselling I Offer

Individual Counselling

A private space for you to explore personal challenges and foster a deeper understanding of yourself. We will work together to develop effective coping mechanisms that you can use to create a positive change in your life.

Couples Therapy

These guided therapy sessions will explore what both you and your partner(s) need to feel fulfilled in the relationship. They can improve communication, enhance intimacy, and resolve conflicts. I provide a supportive environment to address challenges and build a more fulfilling partnership.

Online Counselling

This practice operates exclusively online. This means clients can access convenient and confidential therapy from the comfort of their own space. Our secure platform allows you to receive professional counselling in Alberta and Ontario

Walk and talk therapy is a nature-based therapy that combines traditional psychotherapy with the physical and emotional benefits of being outdoors. The rhythm of walking can often reduce the intensity of a session and allow people to be more grounded.

Whether you're facing specific issues like depression, or relationship difficulties, or simply seeking personal growth and self-discovery, therapy can provide valuable tools and insights. It can be viewed as an investment to a more fulfilling life. 

Request a Free Consultation

This consultation is a free 20 minute video call to meet with your therapist, Kaitlynn. We will discuss the reasons you are seeking therapy and determine if I can provide you with the service you require. If it is not within my scope of practice, I can provide you with a referral. At the end of the consultation, if we feel we are a good fit, we can book your first session.

Prepare For Your First Session

This is a safe environment that is free of judgement and everything you say is confidential. All you need to do for your first session is to come as you are.

Your First Session

During the first session we will go over your intake form. This form is a series of standard questions that I ask in order to get to know you. Above all it is just a conversation and the stepping stone to building trust and a positive relationship.

Your Therapy Journey

Everyone’s therapy journey looks a little different, and there’s no set timeline for how it should unfold. What I can offer is a steady presence as you navigate the terrain ahead. Walking alongside you, step by step, as you move through your therapy journey.

Individual Counselling: $150/ 50 minutes

Couples Therapy: $200/ 50 minutes

Session Prices 

Insurance 

Serenity Ridge Therapy does not provide direct insurance billing.

 

Some insurance companies do not provide coverage for therapists with a Psychotherapist (Qualifying) designation. It is the clients responsibility to check their policy and confirm they are covered by insurance prior to booking an appointment.

All clients that wish to make an insurance claim will have to do so themselves. A receipt with the necessary information will be provided after the session has concluded.
